Because it is more impressive to make a v6 fast than to have a fast v8.

I just love the look on guys with a v8 as I walk them. lol. Nothing more embarrassing than losing to a v6 when you have a v8 with the engine touched by the hand of god in it right? Anyone can make a v8 fast, and they are a dime a dozen. Making a v6 fast takes dedication and the results get noticed at the track and on the street because fast v6s are rare

can't you say the same thing about ricers? I mean it takes more dedication and knowledge to make a 4 banger honda go faster...and its a hell of a lot more embarassing for a v8 to lose to a civic then its kid brother...

its true but no1 wants to admit it lol...dime a dozen yes with fst v8s but how many do u c goin into the 10s? not many cuz it isnt as easy as every1 thinks...Most LS1s and LT1s run 12s and dip into the 11's

I like v8s for their sheer raw power...the thing is all these new cars coming out today are so tuned that your not gunna gain a whole lot of power from mods unless your going big like s/c t/c kinda stuff...muscle cars (before) were just raw power...heres an engine BAM...anything u put on those things made a noticible difference...thats what I like...200-300 hp RAW...not 200-300 hp tuned...I have respect for any car that runs 10's...it is definetly not easy....another thing I like about our camaros...more so 97 and earlier...is the lack of electronics...I like cars that are basically an engine and tranny...all these new cars have all these electrical sensors and god help you when they start going faulty...electrical problems are a *****...

It really doesn't matter if you have a V6 or a V8. Racing is racing, if you beat someone with a V6 and they had a V8. You win, thats it. Your not really proving anything to anyone. Making a V6 fast. Yes that takes a hell of aot of dedication and work. I don't see any V6's in the 10's though. Last time I checked 11's isn't fast. No not everyone can make a V8 fast. Again, fast is 10's, not 11's. It takes even more knowledge to make a V8 fast. With a V6 you're really not dealing whit crap for trying to put power to the wheels. So suspension isn't really a worry. In V8 cars, or any car pushing over 600 RWHP, you must have your head in the game on knowing how to set up a suspension.

I can speak from both sides. I was probaly one of the first ones on this board to have a heads cam stalled V6 on this board. I modded the **** out of my V6. It was fun, and believe me I learned alot from having that car. I learned how to go fast without making any real power.

I always have one of the fastest cars out on the street during the weekends. I don't look down on anyone for what they drive. Its either fast or its not. Anything can be made fast and I respect them all. I know that somebody worked hard on it and they have the same passion I do for my car. No matter what it be, import or a domestic car. I like them all.
