  • Decided to paint my Fiero wheel

I had a flat tire and the walls of the tire was destroyed. I took it to Pepboys and got a new tire.

Before installing the wheel I decided to paint them. Since the 22 year old wheel looks crappy anyway, I'm sure painting it won't hurt.

I cleaned it first and I can't believe how difficult it was getting the caked on brake dust out from it. I literally had to remove it with a knife and then use steel brush.

I went back to Pepboys again and bought a couple of paint can and sand paper.

I sand up the wheel before painting it. I powdercoated the inside black and anodized the lip candyapple red.

It's not perfect but it looks 100% better than before.

    BEFORE

    AFTER

I'm still working on the other 3. So what do you guys think?

It took you more than 5 years to post the pictures?????

good job on the paint job... I think the red lip will take one more coat of paint...that'll brighten the red color deeply on it ....also, tire shine = FTW ;)

I think it would look better without the red lip. The black part looks great.

I'm digging it, and I love the red lip.

attention to detail is everything I like how you painted the wheel weights to match the red lip.

i thought powder coating involved electricity,
and i diddnt know you could do it yourself

why did you only do one???
