DSL works with your existing telephone line and it is very fast.

YOu NEED to be in certain distance from their control center to get DSL .... My previous home used to get DSL but not the recent one hence I had to switch to Cable.... mind you, new house is less than 1 mile away :mad:

o0o i see how it's gonna be...and yea, i've tried to get my dad to switch to that plan, but he's insisting on just gettin the satellite tv...making it...

embarq phone/embarq sat. + AOL...but he doesnt understand that the cost of getting 2 and keeping AOL is higher...i swear he's just soo stubburn...ugh

dial up does suck, ive had it... now i have a crappy DSL... still pretty slow, man i want comcast... :(

Comcast is not that great. They have it where I go in Arlington, TX every summer and there's always a Comcast van somwhere in the neighborhood. The internet always cuts out and their dvr/cable services have to be checked on every couple of months.

Fortunately, I have fewer problems with Cox at home.
