I took this picture at the bradenton drag strip yesterday (4/24/08) in florida and i was just wondering if anyone knows whos car this belongs to. If i had a picture like this of my car i would love to have it. I also have more but ill just post this one for now.
He turned his parking lights on probably to see the instruments. I do the same when it starts to get dark. Post that pic in the Florida section of LS1Tech and I'm sure you'll find the owner.

There are a couple polls on LS1tech about using foglights in everyday driving or other times when they're not necessary. Apparently a lot of those guys use them all the time. Not exactly sure why though. Aesthetic appeal?

I leave my foglight switch on all the time. Aesthetic appeal mainly. I have covers over the foglights that light up with the screaming chicken logo too.

I would think you would want them off while racing?
In my prev cars with foglights, I rarely used them.
I used mine with my headlights in dark country roads and the interstate at night, but only because the headlights were incredibly foggy and hazed over. No need for that anymore.

Having them on isn't going to hurt in any way.

Thats not photoshopped. I would pick the car i want then follow it from the start until it got in front of me then snap the picture. Hopefully if i was going the same speed as the car it would come out like that. I have a few others like that also.
