i just got an email today from jegs on all these nice deals, and one of them was for an electric impact. i forgot that these things existed. is an electric one good or basically worthless? its got 150 ft.lb of torque and 2900 rpms. basically just using for taking wheels on and off and some other random stuff on a car.

    anyways, worth it or no?

150 ft/lbs isn't much. you couldn't really use it for tough jobs and i'd rather use extra muscle than spend money.

Not too many pick-n-pull places around anymore, at least around here.

Everyones so worried about getting sued, liability and whatnot...

I remember when I was in high school, there was a real nice junkyard you could walk in the office, say " you got any so n so " yeah.. about 10 of em' Go get what u need.

Now, that same junkyard has 15ft. tall fences all around, and you cant even look back there.
