UC is a blast man... I got accepted to both myself... I ended up for a short time at University of Dayton, then to Sinclair CC. By far cincy one of the most fun schools I have encountered. But you make that choice yourself. The engineering program is the **** there. Buddy of mine gets excellent co op offers.
I have have until May first to decide where to go to college and I can't decide between Marquette and the University of Cincinnati.
I want to become and engineer and plan on taking part in one of the university's 5-year mechanical engineering programs with co-op.
Marquette is Jesuit and well-known while UC is convinient becuase its just down the street.
Whaddya you guys think?
Its getting down to crunch time.
my best friend is going to cincy right now for chemical engineering and loves the school, he just got done with his fiirst co-op, said he had tons of oppertunitys for diffrent places.
After scholarships and grants;
UC is about $2000 a year and
MU is about $6000 a year.
I heard that UC's co-op is better and that at UC I could work for GM during co-op. At UC I get to keep my own room, my job, and my car.
At Marquette, I'd have to leave most my things at home and things would be more uncertain, which might be good. A life experience or something. And there's something about Marquette, I like the atmosphere there. Coming from Saint Xavier High, a Jesuit high school, despite being hundreds of miles away without my favorite stuff, I'd feel right at home because Marquette is Jesuit as well.
Which school do you think is the better school for my purposes? Is Marquette worth the sacrafices I'd have to make? How do both schools look in the eyes of employers, like GM? I hope to work for GM someday.
