Paid cash for mine. I don't regret it, although getting something a little nicer could've been worth the payments. Wouldn't trade it for anything now though.
Still have a while to pay mine off. But I got it for about $2500 under, so I'm fine with taking my time. People are willing to negotiate when they want to get rid of something, especially if their daughter can't afford the car payments and have it sit in their garage for 6 months. :D
And congrats, kristen. It is nice to not have multiple car payments.

It's probably a shorter term loan. Usually younger buyers without a co-signer only can get a 3 or 4 year loan on a used car, if they can get a loan at all.
I could pay mine off right now its just I wanna build some credit while I have a chance to. Iam using my investment like an insurance policy where If godforbid something happens it gets paid right away. I picked my payment plan either 250 a mo or 350 a mo it doesnt matter anyways I pay more per month to speed up the process.
My next car is gonna be either a Supra, Corvette(Callaway) or Lamborghini(Replica is possible) or perhaps the new Camaro. Defnately something with more punch unless I get married which I don't see happening anytime soon.

Just FYI my credit score is somewhere around 740 +- .... I actually asked my dad to give me 10K out of his home equity card he has.... it carries I think 7% interested which is not bad .... I believe used car loans are close to 6.9% +- anyway .... If I take out a auto loan, I MUST carry full coverage which would be close to $3500+/year because of my not so great license history (oh and also NJ sucks balls  at ins. rates) .... so, I am actually paying my dad instead of a bank.... If I want, I can pay off early or I can just pay $500 a month and it'll take me only 20 months ......
when i was getting the ss/sc the inters. rate was the same for 36-72 month loan's. so i took the higher loan so i could get the lower payments. but i will ended up making a higher payment ne ways, which will go towards the princ.
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
