So I am sitting here watching the local news and their broadcast of the Derby... they are showing the public hats and all that boring crap. All of the sudden they show this guy who is having his bachelor party in the infield before the derby. I SWEAR TO GOD this guy just showed the tv camera man 100k dollars!!!!! It was a stack of 100 dollars bills that was about a 10 inches long. He said that his friends are backing him up and he's betting all 100k on one horse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate the KY DERBY... all day at work I see these rich *** people buying beer and betting on horses with their nice suites and dresses, then I get home and its the only thing on tv and I will hear everyone talk about it tomorrow how they lost 100 dollars or how they won 200.

Yeah... I'm not a fan of rich people gambling on horses who are wipped the whole way down the track. Yeah the horse gets treated well, but I don't think it really cares if its running in the wild, on a farm, or on a track, as long as its not getting wipped and put down.

To see all these celebs come into the state and talk about how they love it, but then talk bad about the state and stereotypes we have. I have yet to see one news article about any celeb making an appearance to any schools or show support for any charity around the state. They show up to gamble, make an appearance, and then leave.

yeah, when they say the love the state, it's really code for, "rednecks suck". i hate it when rich people think they are doing any good and they're just rubbing in there rich smugness.

well seeing as how it was desormeaux's 3rd derby win, id say he probably knows the feeling... but yeah watching that guy jump around like he was 5 years old, while they were putting eight belles down was annoying to say the least. i plan on going to KY for the derby next year if i can pull it, its always around finals time so i can never quite sneak out to get to churchill downs.

Neither the owner, jockey, or trainer knew at the time that Eight Belles was euthanized at the time.

BTW, if anyone plans on going to the Derby next year, hit me up, I might have to go myself. Tho, I am going to have to get my bets in BEFORE I get there.
