just wow. What a ride. Showed up Saturday at about 6:30 pm. I will throw some pics up in just a bit, hoping to run and get my new BFG KDW2's thrown on.

You're about to find out how much fun it is to drive light a car with tight suspension ...... I am thinking about going back to school :( ... if I wasn't, that's a VERY tempting car to own considering there aren't much around .... + 1 for safe delivery ;)
didnt get to pics today, or the tires, or the wing/splitter ....
but i did add some other stuff, I took off tomorrow to get some **** done so I will for sure throw up some pics tomorrow.
But just to give you a brief overview and my first thoughts after 2-3 days driving...WOW. This is the most crisp, precise handling car I have ever been in bar none. The manual steering is not very tough to negotiate at all. Of course the interior is not refined, the previous owner upgraded various stereo components, so that sounds good (not reallt into stereo stuff anyways.)
But it certainly isnt a quiet ride, (not that i was expecting or wanted it to be.) As with a car like this you should expect little squeeks and what not when going over bumps or whatever. The motor is about 4-5 inches from your back, so obviously thats generating a lot of noise, very very sexy noise. The exhaust note is incredible. How they make that little 4 cyl engine sound that good is beyond me but it is just right.
The ride is rough. Not going to lie I do get motion sick and I was on a pretty bumpy 2 mile stretch the other day and I started to feel my head wander. YOU FEEL EVERYTHING tHRU THE WHEEL. Its truely amazing. Push button start is also another cool feature, at least to me.
I love sitting low, I love that people cant see me and I cant see them when side by side. I love this car, its just a blast. So far attracting plenty of positive attention (what kind of car is that? who makes it? nice car, etc etc), tho I am nervous adding the rear wing might change some peoples perspectives of it. But its my car, the wing really does look great on it so they will have to deal with it.
Its quick. Maybe not cobra quick....,maybe. But certainly near the same level. When you get on the second cam at 6000 rpm's it takes off all over again. The car can launch like nothing Ive ever felt before. And the corners.....ah yes the corners.... Can you say on rails? and my tires are practically bald.
Overall if I had to rate this car... for its purpose (track) its a no doubt A to A-
For everyday driving I'd still keep it in the high B range.
great car! I saw about 40-50 of these two years ago in Montreal on display for F1 weekend. Sweet little rides...when you say the interior is not refined, you're not kidding...although there's a simplicity to it that I can appreciate. For such a low car, it's not as difficult to get in and out of as one would think.
One question I've never been able to answer for myself is whether I'd ever get one of these or a Corvette of the same year? Based on your first impressions now that you own one, what would your answer be to that question? You'll probably say the Lotus given you've got one and not a Vette, but I figured I'd ask anyway.

My heart is with the corvette...
"Me? yeah, uh, I'll take that nice blue one with the whirring sound."
And congrats on the lotus! ONe of my friends had a metallic blue one, and it was bad ***, only problem is he wrapped it around a tree...
Hey guys. For starters I’ve always been a big car guy, I love all types of cars and can appreciate all types of engineering. I’ve always been a Chevy...
