Anyone see this. I belive it was a 02 3.8. from the look of it, it was a 5spd. It had bolt ons (heard him say headers, intake, etc) and a 75 shot. It only pulled off a 14.4, i would have expected it to run a little better. Either way was sweet to see it on their.

I saw that - that episode has been on a few times now actually. He had an auto (he mentioned a shift kit) with bolt-ons and a 75 shot. Considering he was probably putting what, 215 - 220 hp to the wheels, I think mid-14s is pretty good. The part I liked was that the guy was 75 y/o... makes me think I still have quite a few years of racing left :rock:
yeah i thought it was an auto too. it was pretty sweet though. a few weeks back i saw a 4th gen firebird (i dont remember year) run high 15s-16s. i dont remember the exact time, but it was not very good.
best show on earth though, i like playing along and seeing if im better than them at guessing the times
lol i saw that firebird run again tonight. it was awful. ugly wheels, had a bleacher straped to the top of the spoiler and said it had a cam. ran a 16.9
I have seen so many 3.8Ls in the 16s, to 17s... **** I had a roomate that had a 99 3.8L 5-speed, and I used to put buslenghts on him at the track in my 3.4L that only rand mid 15s. I think his best was a 16.8
but 75 shot and mid 14s, I guess maybe with a auto... but I ran 15.2s stock, and 14.4 with free mods.
Yeah, but do you really think they're going to put someone on there that isn't just a casual racer?
