My mom likes practical stuff so I got her a 16 piece plate set from amazon. Sounds crazy but shes a simple woman that likes to be able to use stuff, she cant stand flowers because they just die, unless its something like marigolds that you actually plant in ground but me being 4 hours away I can't exactly get that.

I hate hsopping for my mom. It's the same thing for her birthday, Christmas, and Mother's Day. Jewlery. If anyone buys her something for the kitchen she gets mad because "it's my day, not the kitchen's." She has no hobbies. She's never around because she works from like 6 am - 9 pm (being high up in the Suntrust mortgage department sucks). If someone gets her flowers she gets mad because "they'll just die in a week". Dinner doesn't cut it because "I was going to eat anyways." So yeah, jewlery is my only option. Hard as hell to shop for, but I love her.
