Look at these quotes... 200 bucks a month?!? Thats 2400 a year. I pay 100 dollars a year, just liability... If I crash my bike 2 years after I bought it, technically I've got 4600 dollars in repair money that I saved by not pissing it away towards insurance. If I don't crash it, thats 4600 in my pocket.

I've owned my bike for 4 years now on liability only. By everyone else's numbers, I've saved 9200 dollars over that period of time. Since I put that money in the back rather then pissed it away towards insurance, I technically could just wreck the damn thing right now and go out and buy a new Gixxer 750.
Ever seen an 18 year old on a crotch rocket? Honestly, how much money do you expect him to "put in the bank" rather than spend it on insurance.

I would put the money in the bank, just until i spend it on my camaro

Sure. I bought and insured my first crotch rocket at 17. ;) I can only imagine the money I pocketed by not having full coverage on my bikes over the past 9 years. Of course, I suppose you can call me the exception, and Mr. Silver Bullet here will crash his bike 2 months after he gets it and do 4 grand worth the damage. Then he's up sh*t creek. I guess that was the chance I was willing to take, and d@mn glad I took it! Now here's to not jinxing myself!

But sh*t, I think it's d@mn good logic if you can trust yourself and take that chance. You'll have 2400 in the bank after the first year...

hmmm.... I have a friend that used to have a really nice CBR600RR, until he let another friend ride it. He was 18, the other friend was 20, neither had full coverage. The other friend crashed and totaled the bike in less than 200 feet. First friend is still paying for that bike. Loans don't go away.
