My friend worked cashier for 3 years and when he was up for a pay raise they accused him of being 300 short in his drawer. Turned out the amount was equivalent to one of the checks someone wrote... he swore to me he didn't take the check. I believe him because he isn't anything like that and Why the hell would someone steal a check made out to wal-mart when there is cash right there in the drawer as well...

They fired him over that even when he never admitted anything... he denied it and told them he was upset that they didn't believe him. SO they said unless you pay us 300 your are fired.

wow...couldnt he have a decent case of wrongful termination or somethin? Seems like there was basically no proven reason for firing him whatsoever...

my ex used to work for Piggly Wiggly, and after the store closed at night they would stand the smaller employees on the brooms and race them around the store lol...

man, i really need to get my membership fee in...maybe one day i'll be "approved" :rolleyes:

wrongful termination in that casee wouldnt even begin to be worth it, all the guy has going for is his word, walmart had the fact that the drawer was 300 short, and the 300 was in one check
im not saying he shouldve been terminated, all im saying is that he'd have a hard time with a lawsuit.

Plus after that... he didn't even want to worry about it. He was 20 at the time and getting ready to move anyways. He asked to see himself take it on camera, but they never had anything.
