    Re: Anybody else gamble here?

does anyone else gamble?? lol YES...Ive been meaning to hit Niagra up for awhile now, Im actually feening to play some black jack right now...another game I love is texas hold'em but against the dealer...there is one table in Niagra that has it....its texas holdem, but you only play against the dealer not the other players....ante is minimum 10$and you need to double that for your first bet....after that you dont need to bet anything else, however every bet after needs to match your ante...

...and no, I dont gamble, not old enough yet. I buy an occasional scratch ticket but I never win anything so I dont do it much.

I won $1600 on the slots once. My friend and I went and I lost so he went on the same one and won $200. So later that night he lost all his money on one so when he was done I put $20 in and won $1600 he didn't split his $200 so I didn't split my $1600. He has never went back to the casino with me.

i live in the south mississippi, there are 7 seven casinos with in 10 miles of me and with in the next 4 years theree are gonna be three more.

i go every once in a while.only place in town where you can get drunk for free and make money. only thing i play is craps. craps is a fun game if you know how to play it is fast paced and exciting. i only usually bring $100 with me but i know i am up on the casinos, dont know how much but i usually win $200-300 in an evening.

              Re: Anybody else gamble here?

I live in Vegas. I was at Southpoint last night. I've been to every hole in the wall out here. I've played a couple poker tourneys, but don't have the patience to sit there when I could be playing at home. I mostly play Blackjack (best statistical odds). I've been up over $12k at Hard Rock playing $500 per hand. The worst beating I took was at the Rio where I lost $2k, but made it back by hitting a Video Poker machine for $3300. My mom called me the other day to tell me that my 1099-G came in from Harrah's for that win. I hate playing slots/video poker because of that. I don't want to claim this on my taxes, because I can't really claim my losses since I have no proof. Any other hardcore people have any tax advice?

that game is called texas holdem Bonus. nice payout on the bonus hand when you have a pair of Aces and so does the dealer. the house advantage for that game is 5.5935%

Craps actually has one of the lowest house advantage of any casino game. with less than 1% house advantage on passline odds. Blackjack is low as long as you play perfect basic strategy. on a single deck game with a blackjack payout of 3/2 the house has less than 1% advantage with perfect basic strategy. however most single deck games have a 6/5 blackjack payout and increases the house edge to almost 2%. on a shoe usually 6 decks, the house has about 2% advantage, with player using perfect basic strategy. I dealt blackjack for 2 years and i have to say i have maybe seen one player in all that time play perfectly.

and my biggest win in one sitting was 44k. I won the bad beat jackpot during a poker game. biggest slots win was a 5k jackpot. blackjack I won 10k on a side bet.

and in Canada, lottery and gaming winnings are not taxed at all.

but I mean is this a known statistic? or is it just like an inside thing that dealers are made aware of?

and how many times do you guys catch ppl counting cards at the BJ table?

no, these are actual stats. most dealers don't know them. I know them because I like to understand all facets of my game as well as when i gamble.

As far as counting cards goes, seriously it barely raises an advantage to the player at all. over a long period of time and a massive bankroll the player can grind it out and make more money than if they were playing without counting. not to mention the MIT teams also used Ace and 10 tracking as well. the house limits were larger as well. these days it gets caught fast, and many dealers will shuffle earlier to shut down counters. There are so few counters around these days with the exception of wannabees that it makes next to zero impact on any casino.

Im sure with a 6 deck shoe is not nearly as easy to count as it once was with one deck.
