this tyrany has got to stop! as a member of the younger population of this board, i cant sit idly by and let the change in my cupholder become insufficient for a double cheese burger that could easily save me from a massive hunger pain...and forget a quick car wash on the way to a show after a massive dust storm on a back country road...

No choice if you want to drive. I walk to school and my wife drives the Camaro a very short distance to work. We don't buy that much gas. That's the way it will stay.
A shout out to everyone: DRIVE LESS. The more you drive, the higher demand goes, and thus price increases. This is basic economics that people *****ing about high gas prices just don't understand. Make Exxon work for its $10 billion per quarter.

yeah. gas prices wont ever go down, at least not significantly, so get used to blowing all your money on gas unless you dont want to drive. but even if you drive less, nothing will change because i doubt enough people are gunna start driving less before gas hits 10 bucks. so if you dont like the prices, get a job you can do from home or become a hermit because nothings gunna get better
See everyone should follow my suit, I'm converting to a dedicated e85 engine. Sure it might not be a real price saver to me, but it is a nice personal sized F U to the oil suppliers. If we could get 5-10% of the population to do the same thing, it would have a significant effect. The only thing I cant figure out is why e85 rises so similarly with gasoline when it is at most 15% gas?
But in all honesty people in this country are to stubborn and stupid to help fix the problem. To many people driving cars way bigger than they need, too many people living off of credit and spending more than they really can afford, to many people wanting to live ideally and not willing to make sacrifices.
Example: I live in flat nw ohio where its windy as ****, about 300 days out of the year. The city of bowling green has 4 windmills that are about 400' tall, and significantly reduce our utility bills. There has been efforts to at least double the number of windmills(which are located out in the country at the landfill btw), but there are so many people complaining about them that its more than likely not going to happen, and it just might be that the existing ones are shut down. All the *******s living in developments on the outside parts of town say that they are eyesores and they are noisy and reduce there quality of living. I even had one woman tell me that she thinks they are dangerous and is worried about one of the blades falling of and flying through her house...:twak: Its all BS! OMG i've pissed myself off so much i can't even finish my rant....

Indeed they do, and you my friend are going to be a diabetic if you dont stop eating and drinking all that s**t everyday.
Well i'll say I drive 120 miles mon-fri and the gas prices aren't fun. I was carpooling with a guy from work but the guy got deployed around the time gas prices shot up. My demand for gas isn't going down because I have to get to work. But it's a personal choice for me so I don't get all worked up about it. I'd rather live in a home in a decent sized town than in a trailer across the street from my base. So to answer the original question, yes i'll buy gas at $5 without any complaints.
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
