This one tells what the base HP is going to be and what the Z28 is. It looks nice, but I don't know about the rear end though.

cool... not too impressed by the LS... the LT sounds good... also, not liking how the 4banger will outdo the LS... haha, and i figured the SS would have more power than the Z/28.. or at least close... i mean wow

If i were to get this car, and this would be about the time I could get a new car, i would go for the LT trim package. Im too diehard of a V6 fan to buy a V8 (short of a 2009 Cadillac CTS-V). Long live the 6.

wooo... so i guess they will have by 2011, 1 4banger model, 2 v6s, and 2 v8's... thats alot of options just in performance alone imo

Honestly I'm not as impressed as I was hoping to be. I think the front will quickly grow on me, and I'm a fan of the side, but the back just doesn't say sports car to me. Maybe with a lip spoiler it would look better, but I think if it was just angled up a bit in the back, it would really make the shape better.

On the performance edge of things, depending on a few things, I think the 4th gen base Camaro may be able to outdo this one in a straight line because that car looks really heavy. I think it's certainly got some potential though and it's a very nice looking car.

Certainly one of the better looking cars planned for the future though, imo a lot of cars have been going downhill style wise.

I agree I dig the challenger appearance wise...

But the numbers do make sense....

3.5L taking it back to the good old 60* v6...

I assume the 3.5L VVT in a bunch of FWD cars now? Mine is rated 224 hp, they rated it less in newer G6s because the tranny is not rated to handle the power(I don't know if they cut the power or just "rated" it less)

3.6L is cool... but lets face it, doesn't appear to be a cheap motor especially if its a Direct Injection motor. Its nearly the top of the line motor in every car its in.

As for the 4 banger model... is it a true 4 banger, or is it the turbo ecotec? I think they are trying to pull in a little bit of the "import" market.

remember fellas, all those are "expert assumptions"

for all we know that may not happen at all.

but one of my friends at GM has already told me that one trim package will be referred to as "RS" I haven't heard LS, or LT at all...wouldn't really make sense to me for GM to use the Letters they've used on prior f-body engine RPO codes as trim packages...i thnk they're going to try to stick to heritage here. According to "insider info", expect at least two v8 models and one v6 model at first.

and a 300 hp v6 in the mid model? yeah ok. wouldn't that be a pleasant suprise?

Re: This might be the Official 2010 Camaro

I really hope they do stick to the previous badging and packages. I don't think the Camaro will ever see a 4 banger engine with a turbo, it would be like a slap the face on one of Chevy's performance cars. Also to conclude, I really don't think the Z28 will have a supercharged 6.2L stock engine. If anything that supercharged option would be for the SS I would think and hope.

yeah, ss is going to outdo the Z....Z would make sense to be more widely produced....unless holden just says **** it....

originally the Z28 was the limited production, top of the line. SS was like the Z28 of 4th gens. Since they are styling after the 1st gen, they have been talking about using the same badging, putting the Z28 at the top of the line, above the SS.

And yeah, I still prefer the challenger looks wise.

I understand that but i don't think the audience they're gearing it toward will. lol people like you and I only make up about 10% of the zeta platform customer base...people see SS and they're like "oooo super sport....limited productionnnn"

The front of the car looks cool. Especially so in black. The rest is just eh.. ugly imo. Still not feeling it. It's going to be interesting to see how many they sell. Price will definately be a factor in their success or demise.
