and thats just the stuff actually on videotape. I can't even imagine how much worse stuff actually goes on.

But, put yourself in their shoes. Stuck in a country you don't want to be in, doing a job you don't want to do, involved in some combat at that. I'm sure they're losing their minds.

It's a messed up video and what those guys are oding is wrong, but at the same time there is no rule in the army that says you've got to be mature. There's bound to be bad apples in any army. If you think for one second that we're the only country with some jerk soldiers like the ones in the video then you need a wake up call. What the soldiers under Sadam's reign did to those people was 10x worse. I could present a counter to that one bad story with dozens of ones about the positive things our men and women have done over there. Do I think those soldiers in that video need a good beating? Yes. Do I think all soldiers are jerks? Heck no. I have yet to meet one person in the armed forces who I didn't like, and I live near a large base (MacDil). And whats up with that guy saying Bush is like Hitler? Grow up and learn about the messed up things Hitler did before you compare Bush to a sicko who murdered millions and probably has reached a level of Hell which no one else will ever see.

obviously not all soldiers are like that...that would be like saying all cops are corrupt cause you got one Jacka** who was on a power trip....it just gives a bad image to america though...and that dog at the end being killed?....there is just no need...

That's inexcusable by any branch of the military and I can almost gurantee that if they haven't been already they will be court martialed shortly. Like was said, that's a poor representation of the US and unfortuneately bad word of mouth travels quicker than anything good. This is why this kinda crap by some numb but dip****s who lose their bearings for a few hours outweighs anything positive that we could ever do over there.

It is recent...was added march 5, 2008... I couldnt tell you why it is blocked over there though man...

I've had to re-write this too many times. Too many things to say and lose one's temper about. I suppose, suffice to say, I know a lot of Viet vets that got nothing but spit on by the very people who chanted, love-in'd and protested for the end of the war. My kid's going into the current mess and I can't even imagine what he'll see and what bothers me is if he returns with problems from it that I can't even help because of my own ignorance of what it's like there (I refuse to think of the grim alternative to that scenerio). All I know is that I'm proud of what he's doing and his sacrifices for the honor of this country. I'll be d***ed if he sees the disrespect as those before him. Till we are there, we just don't know, not to say what was on that video was right, way quite the opposite, but that may be just .1% of the 99.9% actually doing everything they can so they can come home. Sorry, my rant's over and I truly don't mean to make anyone feel jumped on. If anyone feels I have, my profound apologies. Just a frustrated parent, frightened for my kid and my wife (I won't even start on that one).

Unfortuneately that .1 percent ruines the other 99.9 percent. It's what makes the most ratings and sadly a couple morons is more popular than rebuilding schools, treatments facilities and hospitals. Maybe ABC could put together an extreme makeover: Iraq edition. IDK just a thought. The good thing is for people like myself and others is that if your in military circles or families you know all the positive that's being accomplished.

So technically its not that .1% that makes the other 99.9% of goodness redundant. Its the media's coverage. They choose what we see, we see what they choose.
