Going to BMW Performance Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina tomorrow

So, as you guys remember, my friend with the S2000 decides to sell his car and get a BMW 135i ... With any new BMW, you have 3 options when it comes to delivery... a. local dealer , b. BMW Performance Center delivery, c. European Delivery (+$5000) ... Since, Performance delivery was free of charge, I told him why not pick it up from SC it's not too far from us .... So, I'll be Flying tomorrow to BMW Performance Center in Spartanburg, SC ... They are going to accommodate us in the Greenville Marriott on Wednesday ... Instead of driving back the same day as the performance driving, I have decided to stay an extra night and start in the morning ... so, I'll stay in Radisson Hotel that night ....

I think it'll be a great experience ..... I am off from work till next monday and it's PAID time off so I'm getting paid anyway :D ... Is there anything cool to do in Greenville/Spartanburg SC area (or surrounding area)? I wouldn't mind staying an extra day or two if it's worth it..

Im impressed with what BMW offers for vehicle delivery. Im not fond of BMW, simply because I have heard nothing but nightmares for problems, and it takes even more specialized people to work on them properly.

I would say go to Beaufort, it's a nice place...visit the Corps. Store...but it's about 3 hours away from Spartanburg. I've been to spartanburg before, don't remember much of it though. Stay away from Newberry, I hated that place even though I was there for like 30 minutes. =(

Im pretty sure its Thursday nights, but not totally positive, but Greenville shuts down their main street, and sells draft beers at two bucks a piece, and odd brews at 1 dollar a piece if you're feeling adventurous (Or cheap!). They also have bands and random events. Then when that dies down, the bars fill up.

Just out of town, actually near the BMW Performance Center I believe? there's this Funplex place that has three go-cart tracks. One of them, the cars are fast enough to drift corners with, so beer and that = some fun times, especially when you have a large group, lol.

Sorry I don't know the nitty gritty details, but if you notice, im from NY, not SC... :p So you can take that and now do you're own searching on the internet for the details.

/\ buhahah.... Well I'm in Cleveland airport now.. In about half an hour , I get on the plane to South Carolina... On my way to Ohio, I was looking for bibbers red trans am ... I guess it was faster than the plane, so I couldnt see it... Ohio have some straight roads ... That was cool!

no. newberry is kinda stupid now. it used to be just a place with big trucks and nice muscle... now it's just a cheep place for illegals to buy property.
