Anybody catch the Croatia vs. Turkey game tonight??

Crazy! No goals for 119 minutes. Then Croatia scores. 1 min left in over time. Game over right?

NOT! Turkey comes up big with a literally last second goal. Wins it in PK's. Great game if you watched the last few parts.

Turkeys keeper played an awesome game.

YEA that was dirrty...I loved it....just goes to show that the game aint over till its over...Turkey deserved that win just for that, and thats a BIG upset for croatia to loose like that.

I just hope turkey will pull the same luck out of there *** for like a 4th straight time against germany now...then loose that luck when us Italians play em

I don't know if Turkey is going to stand a chance.

They have atleast 4 starters being benched for the game, either for injury or for a yellow card.

They have pulled off 3 amazing wins, but all had some luck.

The Spaniard's goalie was damn good in the PKs. Buffon played well though.

I'm pretty glad Italy lost though.

Well for anyone who is still following this thread, or cares about the cup....

Germany advances to the Finals!!!

In a match where atleast I thought Turkey was going to get crushed, they put up a good fight!!

In the 22nd minute, Turkey scores off the crossbar
The 26th minute, Germany retaliates with a goal off of a flick.

The rest of the match is a stalemate untill about the 76th minute.

Germany scored a header off of a cross. Turkey goalie came out wayyyy to far and didnt get any of the ball.
But no less than 3 minutes later Turkey scores!!

So its 2-2.
Coming down to the end of the match, the 90th minute.

Germany comes up big with a last minute goal to set them apart!!

Final score, 3-2. Turkey put up one hell of a fight for a team missing 4 starters.

This is the definitely one of the best country vs. country cups I've seen in a while. Not even the world cup matches the intensity and unpredictability of this cup. I truly believe Russia is going to win, but it is all so unpredictable as of now. Crazed98, I saw the highlights of the game earlier today, and I was afraid Turkey would rely on their "miracle come-backs" as they've done in the last games they've played. Lahm scored an amazing goal though.


I'm for Russia, though.

Lahm did have a great goal. Perfect set up to, forgot who crossed it.

Did you see where Lahm got taken down right before/in the box? And the Ref just waved it off like it was nothing. Arg refs!!


In the game vs. Italy, Spain had great control of the game. They were down on Italy's half most of the time.

I unfortanatly have not seen Russia play a game, but have heard they have great momentum going into tommarows game.

The ref's have def. had a tough job. The german ref that called the spain/italy game was horrible during that game. He missed some great calls. However, it is a thing where he doesnt have the replay like we do when we watch. You could see another example on the third goal between Germany and Portugal by Ballack, where he pushed the defender in order to get the goal.

Point is, ref's got it pretty hard this time around.
