This story is local to me, being only about 20 minutes away....

Theres more in the link.
The guy was supposedly going to take pictures for a school project.
As the pilot was about to "rock" the door shut, Carafello unblucked himself and lept from the plane.
One of the skydivers was a videographer and had a camcorder on him at the time. In the video, you supposedly see Carafello falling, taking pictures of himself. He kept his back to the ground the whole time.
Police will not release the video.
The house he hit...

I thought this was pretty interesting, and of course sad. The man was considered as a quiet resident at the local YMCA.

A MAN who jumped out of a plane without a parachute - smashing in the roof of this house (right) when he landed - committed suicide, police said today.
Sloan Carafello died on Saturday after falling 10,000 feet onto the house near the Duanesburg Airport in New York State.
The 29-year-old from Schenectady, who had joined the skydiving flight as a non-jumping observer, horrified the pilot and witnesses by hurling himself out of the single engine plane in the parachurtists' wake.
