They're expanding in the Canadian market and so they're currently recruiting. I've been offered an interview, but to be honest the whole thing sounds a little sketchy to me. I went to an info session last week and everything they say sounds real good, but there's gotta be a catch. Apparently I can make a ton of cash referring ppl for financial services like life insurance, home insurance, investments, etc. Anyone ever work for, been helped by, or hear of this company?

Sounds like telemarketing for monopoly money.

Don't waste your time. It isn't telemarketing, it is much worse.
I know way too much about this and its competitor Primerica. Here is a simple link that you should read before you decide to join this particular "company"

      http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/...Off0147869.htm

Your "job" will be recruiting friends and family members to join the WFG cult and not much else. get a real job and don't put out even one penny, for background checks or "license fees" you may as well put it into a slot machine instead. At least then you have a chance to make something with it.

yeah, from the meeting/interview I went to tonight I pretty much read between the lines and got a sense of what this company is really about. You start off with a bit of training, then you write your licencing exam and you recruit friends and family for associates to market the products to. You do about 6-12 family/friends and then you become an associate, at which point you start becoming more aware of the products and then you get the opportunity to target the 6-12 family/friends of the trainees beneath you.

What they don't tell you, unless you hound them (and I did after the session) is that only about 10% of individuals who go through the training and get certification actually go onto become associates. In other words, this whole recruitment process is just a means to get access to more family/friends to market to. It's pretty genious in that a lot of ppl fall for it...and I'm sure those 10% of individuals go onto make pretty lucrative careers...but it's not for me. I'm not going to weasil my friends and family into this sort of thing either, whether its a great product or not. I'm gonna stick with my field.
