idk bout the ss card, i'm going to the county office to figure this out tomorrow, believe me this it my top priority.

then i have to do all the other little crap, school i.d. , library card, blockbuster card, drivers license...etc etc.

heed my advice...never lose your wallet!!!

I have never lost my wallet, simply because I carry large sums of cash on me. I don't like cards, not everyone takes them. Don't have time to shop around for someone that takes a debit card, so I keep cash on me. I HOPE someone tries stealing my wallet, I've been wanting to give someone a beatdown for awhile now.

still, i'm curious, the cc company said i wouldn't have to worry about the fraud charges on my credit card, so who exactly does pay for them?

and if they try to use it again now that it has been reported as stolen, what will happen to the person trying to use it?

They're probably insured for stuff like that. Either that or it comes for your high interest rates.

Sorry to hear that. Be careful with your SS card, Driver's license, and credit card.

The worst thing that ever happen to me was that $20 bucks was taken out of my wallet. Oh better the money than the whole wallet with all my stuff.

Thats sucks man, I know I have lost my cell in the camaro under the seat a few times. I hope everything gets recovered. This lso reminds me to take my SS Card out of my wallet and put it up.

I once found a wallet in a parking lot. It had a credit card and drivers license. After searching online for a phone number to go with the name I ended up driving to the guys house to return it. I got no reward, and I wasnt expecting one. I did it to show people that there are still people in this world who do the right thing.

Maybe I'm a d-bag, but I usually take a 5 or couple of ones as a finders fee before I hunt down the owner. Whenenver somebody finds my wallet (happened about 3 times now? I'm pretty good at losing it, and really lucky) theres usually some cash missing. I figure thats fair.

if you want to really get down to it, it's prlly not right to take $ and then return it, but it is proper to expect a reward, and it is absolutely proper to give one to the person who found your wallet.

if they don't give u a reward, take solace in knowing you did the right thing.

i've found over 80$ cash at my work (home depot) and returned the $ to the people who lost it and didn't receive a penny as reward. it feels ungrateful at first but after that you start to feel pretty good about doing the right thing (people with a level head do at least)

thanks stevie, it still makes me sick to think that people do this with no second thoughts, i mean they used the card on the same day i lost it!

btw, i just went to the dmv and sat for 2 hours, cursing my idiocracy, waiting to get a new drivers license ordered.

then i went to the library to get a new library card because where would we be without books?

and then i was hungry so i went to subway and replaced my subway card. :banana:

still got to get my ssn card and school i.d. figured out, but i'll do that tomorrow.
