  • Newb in Floriduh

Sup fellas, and ladies if theres any here Anyways, my name is Daniel but everybody calls me Monster, hence the SC. I dont own a Camaro or Firebird yet, I am still debating which one I want. I am not a newb when it comes to cars, I have been working on Toyotas(doesnt every Puerto Rican) for about 15 years but have always been around custom and quick vehicles all my life. My first car was a 1967 Chevy Corvair with a flat 6 and 4speed, was a fun car and was definetly the oddball. And just to let you guys know ahead of time, I have a thing for weird vehicles. I had a Toyota Van I lowered to the ground, and have a thing for wagons and 4drs at times

Like I said, been working on Toyotas for along time but have worked on other vehicles at times and glad I did cause it gave me some knowledge on them. I got to tinker with a 3rd Gen Camaro recently and was amazed at all the room in had in the engine bay, but at the same time I like the looks of the 4th gen firebirds. So I am kinda stuck on what to get, but we'll see what happens once I come across a super sweet deal I cant pass up on.

But anyways, I came across this site while browsing and getting more info on these cars and just getting to know them alittle better. And also, if anybody in the Orlando area needs some help, feel free to let me know. I am always willing to lend a helping hand.

Sorry for the long post, but all in all:wavey:

Thanks for the welcome guys:) And for working on Toyotas, its in my blood and cant ever give it up. Its nice being able to make 300-500whp on a small displacement motor and able to run with the big guys every once in awhile:rock:

But yea, I am looking for something different to build and still dont know to purchase a 3rd gen camaro or a 4th gen firebird. I guess when I come across that to good to be true deal, we shall all know what I get:)

1st part: yea.. and they can be pretty light too

2nd: well... it depends on the deal and what you can find and models... but out of those two, i would pick the 4th gen firebird... the v6 is more powerful... and the v8 is too:) good luck on the search

I am in Orlando too... but don't own a Camaro or Firebird anymore...

If you are looking for REAL cheap and easy hp, I say get a 3rd gen. If willing to deal with a bit of a headache get a Lt1(93-97), if you got the money go Ls1 (98-02)
