Well, was cleaning out the closet the other day, and I came across my old camcorder. It's a compact-VHS camera, and I think it would be perfect for an in-car camera. Only question I have, is what would be the best way to get the video from the camera to my laptop? I've seen the cards with RCA inputs to capture video, but have never used one. I'm pretty computer literate, just wondering what you guys would suggest. I do have a 5MP Kodak digital camera that can do video as well, which may not be bad, but the quality is always messed up in the conversion; it records in a quicktime format, which isn't supported much as far as free editing goes. Anyone know any good editing software for quicktime formats, or a good conversion and editing software?
