  • I've been idle recently...

I'm not well known here I suppose, or if anyone cared...but I've been idle on these forums ( all forums really ), and even more idle on my car. Between working overtime every week now, PT at 4am, and a few other things in my life...finally sorted out, I really haven't had time for my car.

I'm supposed to ship out in 4 months to a wonderful establishment called Parris Island, located in South Carolina. =) From there, Camp Lejeune North Carolina. For anyone curious...my MOS is going to be 0300, regular.

I'm just motivated, dedicated, to the corps!

i bet the tranny detaches from the engine and then it falls out and gets stuck on the differential and then sparks like crazy and then somehow (defying the laws of nature) sets on fire and then proceeds to blow up, sending both car and driver hurling through the air.

you'll know when its fooked. anything past 1/4 throttle and my car felt like it was going to snap in half. you'll feel the tranny smack the floorboard and everything else down there. scared the hell out of me going down the track for a minute lol.

off the line i had a feeling it was toast, but i said screw it and stayed in it, hit second and im pretty sure at that point it tore in half finally, by the time i hit 3rd it was toast so i had to let out of it and coast the last 100 foot or so lol.

Kinda a funny story in a way...That's the reason I haven't been back to Kil Kare yet...'er My tranny mount is broken. lol. It's to the point that sometimes while I turn to sharply ( if I'm in the mood ) I can actually feel the shifter being pulled and feel something heavy as **** right under my *** move out of place.

Last time I was there, that loud *BOOM* my car was making was my tranny hitting my car...I was thinking about it one day and I went under there and checked it out, I can move the tail end of my tranny with just one hand. ewwwww. lol

But yeah...It feels like the tranny is going to come up through the bottom of the car when I was getting on it at kil kare...I've babied it since I found out.

Thank you guys, and yeah...USA FTW!!! lol.

I've just been busy to do it and all...and lazy. lol.

Do you think the 98-2002 1LE trans mount and the 98-2002 1LE automatic cross member would be worth the hassle?
