Almost bare

I almost have the 97 body tore apart. excluding the damn engine and tranny (all under) and a couple more harness to take off.

There are 2 people waiting for parts. I assure you, once I get that motor out, I'll be sending them 2 day delivery.

The dash.. haha, that was a PITA to remove.. I do have 1 question, the main harness coming from the engine bay to the interior on the driver side.. How does that come out?

The one thing I learned taking this car apart, Just buy a damn car.. between the heat, humidity, tight spots... it would of almost been worth fixing the 01 with the damaged rails and aprons.

Finally got a pic of it. still needs a lil work done to it. I have a driver side floor panel that needs knocked back into place, some surface rust to take care of, other than that, its just about ready for body work.. Im still waiting on a damn engine lift. Too bad there wasnt a way to take the motor out without the damn lift...

leave it to kala to turn things around.. Cowl? the pita was the harness attached to the dash.. other than that. once I removed all the bolts and screws the damn thing almost fell on me. (dash that is). the hardest part is sep. the harness from the interior to the exterior.

But between the world and I, I think putting everything back together is going to be the PITA..

On the bright side of things, I found like $8 in change.. lol you can see it stacked under where the steering wheel would go.

I have the front end mocked up sorta, Took the driveshaft, torque arm, and 1 rear lower control arm partially off.. I still have SOOOO MUCH TO DO!
take off the rear end, take all the lines and wires out, put the new one in, swap the motors, trans, and k-members out. sand, prep and paint the engine bay, sand the shell down, prep and paint, install the t tops (again) and install the interior with the new dash. run all the lines and wires, connect everything up and see if she fires.. I hope she fires. lol oh and get new tires.. lol

Then with my tax check, get the OEM SS hood from the camaro graveyard in cleveland.. lol

Tons of work, so little time...
oh and sorry for the ****ty pic, my cell phone is acting up..

Hey meaty I hope its ok that I used your pic but this is the best pic I could come up with that explains my problem.
I installed my hood today to mock everything up so I can mark it before I prep it. but I noticed the headlights sit back a bit.and the hood overlaps it, just wanted to know if this is normal or is it an issue that when 97- people upgrade to the 98+..

fenders arnt on, and the bumper isnt bolted down.. Figured it would be easier to sand the hood with it on the car so Im not denting it up.. Im going to try to take the sail panels off as well as the c pillar I think its called. the top panel on the roof. I see its just glued on so some chicken wire and dowel rods will be in effect with this one, and if it works, i'll just take the red pillar off my 01 donor that way its the factory look for the t tops. and I can do a better body work job on my t top frame with the top fiberglass piller off and painting will be a little better... Now I just need to figure out if I paint the roof top rally red like the rest of the car, or go with that black top... any ideas guys?

well I took the front end off today. Also took the rear springs off thinking I was taking the rear axle housing off.. Then I was thinking how the hell was I going to take the motor and K member out with no rear? so now I have to put the springs back in, I have a cart under the k member right now, so I have to figure out how to drop the k member out without having the car jacked up.. any options?
