and i would never spend that much on a phone. i'm hard as he1l on them. working on cars, dropping them in the process, gettign them greese, leaving them in engine bays while i drive around with them in there, falling out of my pocket climbing a moutain etc. lol
I thought the same thing, but I ended up getting one for like $200 (with the help of free gift cards) and I love the hell out of it. I would have paid 400 for it retrospect.

Full web browser always by my side is the best invention ever.
I am surprisingly cautious with it, which is much more than I can say I was with my other phones. Not because of the cost, but because I don't want to be without it!

      Re: cell phone carrier

well switching from Verizon to Cingular or T-mobile would likely be a toss-up. The both use the same technology as where Verizon and Spring/Nextel use prettymuch the same technology. I would say where you are (city location I presume) it's for the most part a toss up and as someone else said it depends on the phone model.
Personally the wife had t-mobile and we went with a family plan on that we have way more minutes than we would ever use in a month and we have the fav 5 thing for the people we call the most. Anyway what I wanted to get at is I love their customer service. Coverage has been as good as any. I think the price for what we get is a bit high though. And they are finally getting better phones.

I carry a Nextel phone and a Verizon phone. Sprint is great if you're standing under the reciever towers, but Verizon has been able to work in places that the Nextel doesn't.
