so i finally had my eighteen thousand dollar project all wrapped up. I was having a good time running at times over twenty psi out of my modded gt35r. horriable thing is when an intake gasket goes so does alot of coolant causing the bearings to have rough times. Well that was fixed adn i saw low oil pressure from there on. Well i am now sitting here in my car that has a amazingly loud knock. It shut the car off when i was driving and i had to get a roll back to come pick me up. It runs no misfires but holy crap is there alot of noise. Seems to me i either spun a bearing or a big end housing cracked. This would be fine given this car has seen ungodly amounts of pressure in the combustion chamber. But this happened at about seventeen hundred rpms and ten inches of vacuum. Not at 8k rpm and twenty pounds but cruise speed. Personally it is somewhat a slap in the face to not be able to go out with a bang but i suppose what can you do right?

Re: need to vent
pretty god damn good... i ran over twenty psi before with 9.4:1 compression cam heads pretty much everything you name it. On 12psi i made 377rwhp and 390rw ft lbs of torque. that was old set up with out forward facing headers too. I think i am just going to buy a 8.1l and a couple 45r turbos and make really good numbers i guess i will see what kind of damage this engine took first see if it is a cheap fix never really seems to be
