Never clamed to be a smart guy, if I was smart I'd make more money.
I am still calling BS on a cammed, 4.10 3.8L getting 30 mpg, you can argue all day, but will never prove it.
so then what's the ****ing point of calling BS? Do you want a screen shot of his trip odometer, and a seperate one of the gas pump? Oh wait, apparently I
...so i guess all discussion on it is moot on it then, since nothing will apparently convince you. Awesome job of taking yourself out of the discussion
its called tuning.... just cause a cam is in the car doesnt mean its gonna eat gas.... if you adjust the amount of fuel, air, and spark.. it becomes pretty freakin efficent...
and 4.10s... yea i just made a 1521 mile trip from VA to texas in july. averaged about 65-70MPH wich puts the RPMs right at 2500 +/- 100. I spent right at 200 bucks on gas which cost $3.80-4.00 per gallon... you do the math... and thats the less accurate way of doing things..
i drive to Prescott and back every other week (235 miles round trip) and my car gets 31 mpg cruising at 80.
with 3.42s and a cam.
oh and chad that tune you gave me was pretty much spot on haha. Havent had a chance to check the afr, but the timing is right on. I was getting zero kr so i added a tiny bit of timing and then got kr so i put it back to what it was.

you get zero KR? Well you're lucky...I get like 3 degrees of knock
yep, involves the kind of driving you do, where you do it, how you drive, what the average speed is of your daily commutes, what the speed limits are in your area (example 70k/h is best for my mileage, yet all the limits around me are around 50-60...therefore someone in a more rural setting will get better milage as they are able to do about 70-80 all day with no traffic)
Im not even gunna touch basis on the other mechanical stuff like air filters, o2 sensors, and stuff like that, that if faulty will take away mileage as well....
ever stop to think that MPG involves more than gear ratios?
which is exactly why i posted my new mpg along with my old mpg. i didnt mean for this to get into some giant e(conomy)-**** waving fest.
its all relative people.
driving style is the most determining factor when it comes down to it.
with that said, "highway" for me is typically 70-80mph as thats what everyone else is doing. i dont think youd make it very far doing 65 even in the right.
it puts me right around 3k rpms, just under.

I used to think that, until I actually tried it once...and, lo and behold
A) my car didn't self-destruct,
B) no one came close to hitting me or running me off the road,
C) my MPG went up noticibly
So, so long as the actual speed limit is 65, your fears and phobias are unfounded. Unless you're one of those dudes who can't stand being passed by people...in which case, Marty McFly, you're out of luck
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
