Bought a Nikon D40 a few days ago, and MAN! I am loving every second of it.

All photos are post processed. I only did cropping, messed with shadows, and some sharpening.
I did NOT use a filter for the lighting. I have no clue how I got the star shapes on the lights.
I mostly left the shutter open for 10-30 seconds.

Also, All photos are under a significant amount of compression. Some photos are 2 MB, then photobucket reduces it to 1 MB, then to a 17 inch monitor so I don't explode your screen.

High Def pictures are available, but I have no clue where to host a 2MB pic.
Help here?

First, some Pictures I took tonight of the car.
The lighting realllly messed up the look. My Car is Bright Metallic Green. These pictures seem to tell a different story....

Now for the cruise-in.
Every Tuesday night, a local Ice Cream places lets us take up the lot and have a good time.
Never would have known these cars lived in my town.

It's only a 6.1 MP camera. I didn't need to go over the top in that range.

I like my Sony cybershot 7.2MP camera, it does good with clarity (if im sittin)

I bought a Nikon D40 last Thanksgiving and love it. I think I've taken more car pics with it than I have anything else...lol. Keep the pics coming.

Haha I need to get another lense.
The current one is 18mm-55mm. Takes great upclose shots at 18mm.
I can be almost on the car and still get it all in the frame.

I'm looking at a 55-175. Zoom is great!

Anyway, nice shots. I've been looking at new cameras and might look at this one a little more.

Now what'd be awesome is if you could do a little digital burning/dodging on the first pic. Would look even more badass! I love long-exposure shots.
