Re: Anybody here looking forward to the Olympics?

lol you know that i am. i've been counting down the days. i'm so excited. i hate that i have to wait 4 years for the summer olympics.

love it all but i have to say i love

    soccer

    swimming

    diving

    softball

    Gymnastics

    beach vollyball(men ;) )

    track and field

    so on and so forth.

what do you think about Becky Hammon, becoming a russian citizen to play basketball for russia, since she didn't make the american team....i could never do it. ok so you made it to the olympics, your playing, doing well. say you win.....your on the winners podium and then you don't hear our national anthem or see or flag.....would it be worth it? i don't think it is.

sucks that paul hamm injured his hand. He was a strong point to our team. at least morgan will still be there. i'm sure they will still do good.

My wife and I were in China not too long ago, so we're mainly interested in seeing all the sights and cities again. It was an awesome trip, and the Olympics will be a great way to re-live it.

You know what's cool is that 4 Olympians are from my area. Missy Mae the volleyball is from my town and she used to be a baby sitter for my co-worker's little girl. One of the wrestler, cyclist, and runner are also from my area.

Lucky, I have to be at work all day. I told my in-laws to tape the opening celebration for me.

I won't be able to see it till next week when we visit them.

I'm excited too. I can't wait to see Michael Phelps rip that pool apart and that 40+ year old lady go up against other swimmers 20 years younger. I think she will beat them.

Too bad about Morgan Hamm and Paul Hamm won't be in gymnastics.

I'm not too excited about these games.

World records will not be broken due to ****ty air quality. Rain, rain, heat, rain, etc.

I don't know why or how Beijing was chosen as the host city.

Im pretty indifferent. Not too excited for some reason.

I'll watch it on occasion, probably just the soccer. The hondurans i work with were mad at me yesterday because apparently italy beat honduras, haha.

What part of China did you go to? I was there last year and it was pretty cool for the most part (except for the whole, working 12 hr days thing... )

I'm kinda excited about the olympics too. All this talk about pollution is kinda relative to me. I was in a few different regions of china when I was there (Shanghia, Hong Kong, Shenzhen) and it really varies day to day, city to city.. Shenzhen is very industrial and to be honest with you, i didn't see the sun for 3 weeks when I was there. Though Shanghia was crystal clear and hong kong was just plain amazing.. Go USA!!!
