i need advice on house interior

my interior was original white walls and trim that is a wood design on it and my doors had the wood design on them.

my doors and most of my trim are still the same wood design..

but i painted my walls a tan color and it didnt match the wood trim so i started to paint the trim white.
but i never finished cuz i felt bad ruinin the wood trim.
and i dont know if i should paint over the nice wood doors because they look really nice.


so my question is.. look at these pictures.. and give me some advice.
should i paint my doors or leave them wood, if so what color should i paint them.
should i paint my trim or leave it and try to clean up the parts that i already painted white?

not much you can do with those cheater strip things on the wall to hide the sheet rock joints.
Wanna make it nice first thing you need to do is get rid of those and fill the cracks in properly via tape and float

After that it depends on what you are most comfortable with, low ceilings and such the dark colors are going to make the place seem like a cave, if that is what you are going for then keep going dark with the light trim. The reason it was originally light colored with dark trim was to make the place feel bigger, brighter and airy.

Is that a condo? if so I'd stick with light bright colors because when you get ready to sell you are going to want to do that anyway.

I hate painting and house design stuff btw but have been forced to watch too many home makeover and this old house shows when I was a kid.

its a double wide trailor.

i like the white trim better too and would like white doors. but i feel like i'm ruining it when i paint over the wood. so i cant decide.

that al;most the same look as I'm going for in renovating my condo. A lot of earth colors and white trim and plates. It really makes the paint pop and the trim stands out nicely. Kepp it like you started

i also want advice on what color to paint the exterior of my home.
heres a picture. eventually i'm gonna make the vinyl go all the way down and get rid of the white part.

so what color would you paint the outside walls and the shutters?

Once you paint the trim, you will have to replace it to go back to wood. Dark color walls and white trim looks nice, but honestly, I would have just gone out and bought new trim and started fresh (cleaner look).

You can paint your exterior door white, but those interior doors will not come out good. You are much better off replacing them with white doors.

i can't see the pics cause i'm at work....but growing up in philly(old homes) and the walls were always what ever color you wanted. door trim, window trim, chair rail, crown modding. etc was always white. but you keep the beauty of the orig. wood doors. a nice soild wood door not this pressed board sh!t that make these days. lol

my doors have like a fake wood wallpaper on them. the insides are wood too but they have the wallpaper skin on them.

should i paint them semi gloss or gloss?
