dont read if you dont feel like hearing me rant.
first we'll start with cars. bought a f150 a little while ago then decided it was too expensive so i put it up for sale. then had to take it down because my camaro wasnt running because of an intake leak that i already tried to fix once. then my truck dies because the compressor locked up. fixed that, then yesterday the starter died. went to do that today and just about all the bolts holding it on were stripped and rounded. lame. so i decided to fix my camaro instead. and man, it went great. did it a ton faster than last time and didnt run into a single problem while doing it. just finished and it still leaks like a *****. i cannot figure out what im doing wrong. so now i have no running car and need to get to work in the morning. awesome.
moving on.
my girlfriend of like 3 years dumped me earlier this week. still not really sure why, just said she doesnt see any future with me even though we had been planning to get married. sweet. and my brother just announced that he got engaged. im really happy for him but makes me feel like ****.
and last of all.
went to go visit my grandpa today at this nursing home he just moved in to. and it was so depressing. he doesnt remember me even though i see him every few weeks and hes pretty much on his way out. he was a really cool guy and, well, id rather him be alive then dead.

im normally not one to complain and i know things could be alot worse, its just things are really kickin me in the face this week. thats all. i just wanted a place to rant. if anyone actually read this whole thing, tell me to stop whining like a b.itch.

Stop whining like B!tch, LOL Sometimes life is good and sometimes not. I'm f!cked up physically and mentally from my stroke at 32, take over 30 pills a day now, still in pain,memory problems, and speech problems. Just got to live with it. It can always be worse, and their are more people out there that are.

Wow man, Your luck with cars and trucks isnt with you this week. It's cool though, Next weeks a new week :).

Sucks about your grandpa, My great grandma is slowly losing her memory, still remembers me but I fear one day she will ask Who I am. Just as my dad has told me many many times. Take it one day/step at a time. It all works out in the end.

Yes, that is the name, alot of people double ask the name if their not from AZ, or ask how to spell it. Venting is good , just got to think about what you have and want to achieve. Then try to picture it. Always worked for me, and still does to a point.

dude....hard times....but just know that things will get better. cars are cars and they suck! lol.

as for your grandpa, don't stop visiting him. even if he doesn't remember you he still knows that there is someone visiting him. the smallest things means the most to them.

i work in a nursing home. and i see what my residents go threw day in and day out. the one true time when they are happy is when they get visits.

Cheer up, life sucks then it sucks worse then you die. You can either roll with the punches and realize most people suck *** or go in a deep depression and alcohol induced coma and expedite the process. Things can always be worse and they usually are before they get better.

Ok so myabe I was exagerrating a little bit. I and I think all of us could go on and on about our ****ty luck or lives. My point was simply suck it up and drive on.

I was going to rant about my string of good luck as of late but I didn't see how that would help you so...

Sorry to hear about all of that man. As Kristen said though keep visiting your grandpa. When my great grandmother was in a nursing home because of her alzheimers and dementia I kept visiting her and the nurses kept telling me that later in the day or the next day she'd always ask about the nice young man who comes to visit her. It really does mean a lot to patients that they get regular visits.

Also, depending on the nursing home, thats the only way your loved one will get treated decently is if you visit frequently but irregularly (4pm one day, lunch time the next, get there at 9 am on a saturday, etc.). I hope things turn around for you soon.

OK I got to change this up and I know some of you will say I'm cold and blah blah but let's think about this. The only person that's going to care if you go visit that relative in the nursing home is you. When they are out of it that much that they don't notice or if they are that close to death they aren't going to notice. If they do when they are dead it won't have mattered anyway. It's kinda like taking flowers to a grave, they sure as **** are going to care, they've been incenerated or they are plant food.

I'm not saying this with no experience, my grandfather spent the last motnh and a half he was alive between nursing homes and the emergency room. He was so out of it the only person I or any other family was there for was ourselves. He wouldn't have noticed nor would anyone else for that matter if we were not there.

I'm just saying people think death is so much more than it is. We're animals, we live we die, we fertilize. It's really quite simple like so many other things that people make too much out of.

That week came around a little while ago for me...it helps to have kids that can give you hugs and kisses.

In this colorful book called life, let this be the point where you pull yourself up from the bootstraps and turn the ship around...make it a memorable enough effort to bring a smile when reminiscing 20 years from now.
