A friend of mine, that I know through some other friends has quite a bit of money, mainly his grandparents have money, but anytime he wants money, whether it be $50 or $50,000 they give it to him right away.
He has multiple cars, Dodge Viper...Ford Lightning... Nissan 240sx... Nissan 350Z and a 300ZX, and his nicest, is a MR8 Evolution, in which when He bought it, sent it to a performance shop, and had over 100,000 in performance parts added.
Car was ridiculously fast, had complete suspension and motor for drifting and racing, he raced a bunch of people and slaughtered them.
He moved closer to chicago, and started racing more, he (from what he says) raced a 1400 hp Vette and beat him, from that point on, nobody would race him. So he decided to sell the car.
He sold the car for $76,000 which just pisses me off...
The fact that he will take such a large hit at losing so much money.
First off, I dont know how much he paid for the car, but he had over 100,000 in mods.
So to take a loss of $25,000 just in mods, + the cost of the car, is fu(king ridiculous... He said it's no big deal!
Must be nice, That $25,000 could buy a brand new car.
He is 20 years old by the way, and has never had a job until just recently.
His 240SX, the day he bought it, took it to a performance shop and dumped 10,000 into drifting suspension and rims/ tires.
Took me for a ride a few months after he bought it and I nearly sh!t my pants, coming into a blind 90* corner at 100mph, slamming on the brakes and shifting into 2nd gear.
Id say we probably slid around this corner at 60mph or so.
