  • Death of my Baby

I let a friend of mine drive my car last night because I was extremely intoxicate to the point that I didn't know he was drunk. Well he deiced to get throttle happy. Well he ended up putting us into the woods at 70+mph after hitting a wet spot...The car cut down 2 trees and wrapped around a third tree....I have a broken nose, fractured nasal bone, sinus bleeding, head trauma, lacerations to the head, arms and legs. I'll say this to every person...its easy to forget the smell of a late summer rain...or how privileged we all are, to have people to talk to, to have each other, and to just make it to the next moment alive. I came closer to death than I ever expected. I was passed out in that car for over an hour. At this point I feel so privileged just to be breathing right now. Few of you can understand this on the level I now do...and I hope to God the rest of you never will have to. All I'm saying is live every moment as if it was your last, pass up no opportunity and live with out regret. You never know when somebody else's mistake can end you. I was uncontentious for an hour and twenty min, and nearly drown to death on my own blood. I feel like I have been given a second chance to live my life righteously and to make the right decisions. I don't care how retarded it may sound, but this morning events have changed me forever.
I hope all you young one take this, a stupid mistake, as a lesson and I hope you never have to go through what I am now

You definitely got a second chance. Glad to hear you made it through alright, that could have easily been fatal. How did your friend do?

It's so scary and i'm glad that you made out ok. Life and death is a matter of seconds and people don't realize that.

I can't believe I came out scratch less after doing a 360 degrees on a crowded highway WITH midsection at prime time 08:45pm and landed 3 feet away from the trees.... I am one of the luckiest people alive.

Good luck with everything. Where did they take your car? Albany ave inpound or somewhere in galloway?

Sucks what happened to you. If I remember correctly your Firebird is identical to mine.

But yeah, I hear you. I've been on the same road as you, and I am still travelling. I live my life too with no regrets and I thank God for every waking moment that I get to spend it with my wife and family. I am truly bless.

This is indeed a very valuable life lesson. A second chance at life is truly priceless. Now go seek out what you were meant for in your life and to the life of others. Good luck.

Never get that drunk when your in public and having to drive home. I almost never get that drunk if I'm out drinking, If I do I make sure I sober up enough to drive and be alert of whats going on.

Its better to get that drunk at home since You wont have to drive anywhere. Sucks about your car though, Glad your ok. Looks like it was a helluva wreck.
