I'm pretty sure 93 runs cleaner too.. like I've noticed there isn't as much sludge buildup as 87.. I don't know why, but that's how mine and my friends was.. Either way I have to run it cause I have advanced timing and it gets better MPG because of the tune and because it's 93.

probably because it burns slower
the sower the burn, the more you are burning off and the less carbon buildup you will have
if you are getting sludge in your combustion chambers/pistons you have more problems than the fuel you are using
i currently have two computers tuned for 87 and 93 octane, it make no difference if you put 93 oct on the 87 computer, it just makes you run richer and gives no power boost, however if you use the 93 computer with 93 oct u can feel a boost because the PCM is tuned with an advance in ignition, never run 87oct on a computer tuned for 93, do it and you will get lean codes, detonation and boooom.
From what I heard that the 91 oct. in AZ and CA is equivalent to a 93 in other states, because they added something to the fuel for emission purpose and climate. That's why our gas is slightly more expensive than other states.
In 2003 both AZ and CA went from 92 down to 91, but it's not really a downgrade. That's just from what I heard, I could be wrong.
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
