ok, two suggestions so far:

1) delete most of the crap in this thread that doesn't belong/no added value
2) move this over to website forum, since that's more appropriate. Yeah, it might get more views/posts in the lounge, but when the thread is moved, it's also linked.

my "suggestions" are the same, more how-to guides... when you do something (anything really to your car) just do a quick write up, and try to put it up in the new wiki too... if everybody did that everytime they did anything... there would be hardly any questions

This was a lounge thread for a reason. Here are the reason's that it's not in either the supporting members area, or website stuff.

1. The supporting members area is just that. We would have never gotten any input from those who still utilize the site as a "free web experience". These users, happen to make up the vast majority of people who view the site. I value their input.

2. Countless threads in the "Website Stuff" section fail miserably on a regular basis, simply because people never care to look at it. I mafe the post where it would be most beneficial imho.

With regard to the cursing.... there are two ways to look at it. Yes, this is a public forum, using the word "douchebag" could be regarded as distasteful, but then again, if the admin's that are being so wrongfully disrespected felt that it was innapproriate for our web community, don't you think they would have put it on the censorship list along with the rest of the expletives?

Forgive me if I'm being rash, but this site was once a hotbed of technical information. Now we have 30-40 active members if we're lucky. Go to any other forum. This place is slowly declining. There are some solutions in the works, but I won't be able to go any further with them until tonight after I get home from work....and I have to leave in....t minus 28 secs....

I suggest that we acknowledge that this site is NOT a Nazi state, and that to a certain extent, we have the right to free speech! We don't have little kids running around this site (even though it seems like it at times...), so I feel like we really don't have to model our posts around what you would say to your senile grandmother. I have yet to see racial slurs being used, which is where the line should be set, IMO.

That said, I guess I don't have any tangible suggestions other than what has already be said. Sticky thread with links to informative threads would be nice. Check out some of them on ls1tech if you don't understand what I mean.

Other than that, as I said in the "other" thread.... I SUGGEST that people try to mature up a little bit. Just because you are behind a computer screen doesn't mean that you can go on a We all know you love the interwebz, but calm down. I SUGGEST that people stop posting unrelated crap in someone else's thread. You (plural) aren't as funny as you think, and are just driving people away from the site with actions such as this one.
