  • What's the name of this picture?

I really like this picture, was just curious if anybody knew anything about it? If it's available in a print I'm wanting to get it.

Figured I'd take a stab in the dark and ask.

Oh man!! I know what those pictures are. They are actually from a poem I read in college. It's been a long time since. Here it is:

              Life

              Life is fleeting.
Not until you see your fugaciousness, you see that every day, every hour even every moment is a gift , a gift you can only open for one time.
A gift that can delight you only one time.
You find out that workaday issues basically do not have a real importance.
You will find out that you should capitalise every day, every hour and every moment, because no moment comes back.

The life, every day, every hour, every moment is a gift, because we are all fading.
Along the line we all will end to exist and could not ask ourselves "what if..."

I think they're called vulchers and they are waiting for that couple to kick off so they have some food.

Lol. The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. I thought of that too.

That's not a rip off from Shel Silverstein's picture book, "The Giving Tree." The Giving Tree is based on the boy's relationship with a tree and how the tree acted like the boy's mother.

This one is about Life. Only 4 collages that represents life in its process. The sky, tree, birds and the kite represents the cycle of life.

Let me see if I can interpret this.

1 st collage represents youth. The sky and tree represents the boy. You can see two birds buzzing around. One bird represents him and the other bird represents someone else that was meant to come into his life. But the day is young.

2 nd collage represents the youth becoming a man and having a relationship that led to marriage. If you look to the left you see a growing tree. This reprents his relationship with her. You can see that there's only one bird now. This means marriage where the two has become one. The day has blossom.

3 rd collage is a sad one. The woman died abruptly of something. Perhaps cancer or an accident, but it was a tragic lost. You can see the tree on the left didn't blossom fully and didn't develop any leaves. His sadness is represented by the gloominess of the day. But he still feels oneness with her because the bird is one.

4 th collage reprents his death. It is night. His tree is no more than a stump and two small twig represents a memory. The large twig represents him and the small twig represents a memory of her through him. He left his childhood memory tied to a tree that never fully blossom.

It's a really good picture and good poem. It really makes you reflect on yourself. Some people use this and see it as a relationship with their parents and such. But it's really up to you how you want to see it.
