Got my z 28 impounded

for working on it on the side of my house...on the street on ramps. i was gna install my long tube FLP long tubes...spohn torque arm , spohn tubular lower control arms, spohn pan hard rod. left to a friends house 15 mins later i get a call from sister saying city street patrol came and they are looking at my car. smashed over with 4 friends. asked the dude, "is there a problem with my car" he was like apparently so its getting impounded for working in it on the street" i was like are you serious lets work this out ill move it to my driveway" he was like no tow truck and police is on the way. i was like **** and my boys started talking $#!T to them and made it worse another cop came. they all argue i was pretty pisses cop threatened to kill my friends pitbull if it gets near him. got it impounded for three days till i was able to get it out cost me $720.....imagine what i could have done with that $.

Gotta love Calif. You should have told the cops I pay my taxes up to this street, which is true by the way if you own the property.

THey should have allowed you to move it. Usually they would give you a warning first. Then failure to move would mean a tow.

one thing people need to learn is that if you keep your kool and speak to the cops with respect they usually work well with you unless you where a a$$ to begain with.

they have 15' into your property, they can do anything they want without your approval up until those 15'.. meaning if they wanted to dig a huge hole in your front yard, they can

so basically someone complained about you....shoulda moved it into your driveway before the cops came, put it on ramps, pull the tires off and hide em....then deny everything....be like to the cops, man, don't know what you are talking about, but I've been working on my car in the driveway here the WHOLE time....Then turn around to the car (whcih has no tires on) and be like...common, it has no wheels....hasnt been on the street in days....

other option would have been to quickly just drive away before the cops got there...once the cops are there its too late....but I probably would have drove it to a friends house and parked it there....and not come home for a few hours....then if ever questioned about it...you were checking something for 2 seconds, and had to leave somewhere, and some guy was babling about towing the car, but he didn't make any sense to me....

not even. the neighbors are very cool with me. we all got each others backs. they asked me why i was getting it towed and they said it was BS. they got citations for dumb stuff as well.

i actually got it off ramps want was gna lock it in my back yard (rv parking) but cops came it was too late.


im not gonna apologize for sound "ebonic" i was born and the bay and i grew up with this "language"...i kno my SN doesnt help much. got nothing good to say dont say NOTHING!
