This is the most interesting Presidential race EVER!!!
Luck and coincidence, nothing more. Sad thing is, you're going to get out of college, and my dumbass who barely made it out of high school will still make more money, wanna know why? Luck and coincidence. I was in the right place at the right time. Its been hard work to KEEP my job, but getting it was nothing more than luck and coincidence.

But hard work doesn't 100% mean a payoff, some people will get screwed over, and more often or not, they will get screwed over before there is some sort of relief and reward from the work. Thats what our society has come to. Break your bones for scraps, or go to school on a football scholarship, live a lavish lifestyle and not be able to do simple math.
You think hard work pays off, tell that to my ex, who has her bachelors and is making $10 an hour because no one will hire her for a job doing what she knows. There is no room there because the people who got LUCKY and COINCIDENTALLY knew someone in the company first got the job, sometimes with even lesser qualifications. Its not what you know, its WHO you know.
BTW, I work in a union, there are workers, HARD workers, and lazy workers, but everyone is making $35.44 an hour nonetheless. Only difference is the hard workers will have a job in January, while the lazy are sitting at home laid off.

Yeah people get screwed. Everybody knows that. But if you quit working hard because you lose out once or five times...come on now....you and I both know you can't just quit trying. And there are many, many, many people who don't go to school on a sports scholarship. Most of the kids I know take out loans to go to college or work super hard at it to keep scholarship money that they got just from academics. Look I'm just saying that working hard at something pays off more often than not...and if more people worked harder we wouldn't have so many problems here. And I think that keeping a job is 100% payoff. I'm not saying hard work will make everybody a millionaire. I'm just saying it does pay....can we agree on that?
Just a little off-topic, but this political thread isn't NEARLY as bad as some of the ones I can archive. So far its been pretty civil, don't lock until it gets personal.
Palin may be hot, and she may have good values, b ut you have to look at this from afar..
McCain- could die at any time which means Palin would be president.. she has no experiance in government besides governing a state that has 1/2 the population of Chicago.
Obama- doesnt have ALOT of experience, but has great Ideas.. However, he is Black (which is fine) but there are red necks out there including the stupid *** KKK, and his life was already threaten even before he is president. So there is another plot for an assassination against a president. so if he was to ever be killed, this gives up Biden, which is experienced in Gonvernment and has the same Values as Obama.
Im an indipendent, I see both parties good and bad values and go from there. But you are right, History will be made here.. And I cant wait. America needs a change, and the damn conservitives need to be set aside. lol

Also say McCain did die and Palin took over... her lack of experience would be a good thing. She is not corrupted and dishonest yet. BTW she is hot! ++

personally, i think that every american should have to serve atleast 2 years in the military right out of highschool. maybe then kids these days wouldnt be such a collective waste of space and we wouldnt be such a nation full of pussies and tree hugging hippy morons. i regret all the time not going into the military right out of highschool. id do it now but they wouldnt take my crippled 25 yr old azz :(
Wanna know why I am going to vote for Obama? Because he is a counter-culture individual. He questions that which most people don't question. He puts a different spin on things. Its what this country needs, re-evaluation.
