I drove my uncle's Stingray once and that thing is well over 500hp and can probably do high 10 on the track. But to my uncle he considered it a slow car. I think people just get used to power of their car in time and they tend to loose the appreciation of power.

Just wait till I drop that GTP motor on my Fiero. It'll be BAD to the bone.

I drive a y87, but had a base 3.8 in Denver as a rental car once. Maybe it was just the altitude, but that car seemed like a dog next to mine. The launches weren't quite as strong because of the lower final drive ratio, but again this could have also been the altitude. I guess it really didn't matter because the lack of an LSD had me spinning one wheel when I did get on the power anyway. The stock eagle GAs also did a lot to ruin the feel of the car.

The steering wasn't as tight as my car, but it was livable. I think the tighter rack gives a little more confidence, but a good set of tires helps out a lot there, too.

Going to all synthetic lubes (motor oil, trans fluid, and diff) , good plugs, and a freer breathing intake will really wake up your engine. It won't get you v8 grunt, but you should be able to get at more of your engine's torque faster than before.

God I've been wanting to do that forever. If I could just find a Fiero near me for a decent price/condition. My buddy was talking to me about one he saw; GTP motor and the car weighed in at like 2400lbs or something. HP/Weight ratio is what's it's all about; maybe that's why I wasn't impressed with my Uncle's Vette

Exactly. Weight to HP ratio is a huge factor IMO. Thank god Nissan is on the same page because the new 370Z is going to be 220 lbs lighter from current model right out of the factory (3000-3100 lbs) ... does anyone know how heavy the 5th gen Camaros?

I rode in my friend's vette - he has a LS2. I was really impressed with the torque. When he stomped on accelerate, I mean your body literally sinks back into the seat - it was like holy ****!

                  LS2 ftw
