I was in 7th grade, sitting in Ms. Stowe's social studies class....all they would tell us is "things are happening in certain places in the world where they don't usually happen" and right after that I asked if someone bombed the pentagon, not having any idea.

She about collapsed.

Rest in Peace all those who passed away that day.

I had to go in early to work as a teachers helper in Mrs. Hulse's 4th grade class. Just put Kaitlyn Henry's paper in her box when a teacher ran in and told Mrs. Hulse to turn on the tv when the second plane hit.

i remember waking up and my mom was cussing up a storm. i was like WTF is she flipping out about already. she come's in my room and says turn the tv on. soon as i turned it i saw the second plane hit. i sat there stunned and watched the news for hours, watched them fall and all the insanity that went with it after.

still makes my blood boil.

I was working as an Operations Manager at LaGuardia Airport in New York City. We saw everything first hand, including when the towers fell. I will NEVER get that sight out of my mind. I also lost two friends that day.

I was sitting at my guidance counselor's office (Just started my senior year). I am talking about what college I should go to, what should I major in , etc. Then suddenly the next door counselor burges in and tell us to watch the TV. That's when I see the destruction. Pretty Crazy....

RIP to all those poor souls. BTW, can you imagine how lucky those people are who called out that day?

I was in MCB Camp Pendleton, CA on a 24 hour duty post when the 2nd plane hit. Stood duty as Sergeant of the Guard for the next 3 days straight, patrolling the beach near MCTSSA with about 25 other Marines.

I was on the Aircraft Carrier USS Enterprise when it happened. We were on our way home to Norfolk VA. We were in the Indian Ocean heading south to South Africa when we turned around and headed back up to the Persian Gulf. Thats were we stayed for the next 90 days just bombing the hell out of Afganistan..
