I thought you were selling the engine and dropping the LS1?

Firebird looks better though. Never liked the TA front. Good Luck man.

I still like the road less travel.

there is only a few people on this board that would rather have a v6 than a v8

True but to say I love everything about my car except for the V6 motor on a V6 Fbody website like you 2 are doing just seems well I dont know what does it seem like?? I guess alot has changed in the past 6 years since I have joined this site. I was proud to own a V6 F-body. I never was ashamed or said I hate owning a V6 Firebird. When I get my 300zx running and sold I am probably going to pick up another V6 Firebird to modify and drag race. I still have the same respect for the V6 Fbodies out there even though it has been over 3 years since I have had mine. Well I remember driving Stefans "Virus" Firebird with the supercharger and the camed motor around here in Virginia beach. The car had the Firehawk hood and I remember pulling into a parking lot with about 3 Dodge Virpers in it. When I parked and climed over the roll cage to get out all of the Viper drivers were hovering around the Virus wanting to know How much power my Supercharged H/C Firehawk was making!! I didnt tell them but I did offer to race one for some cash and of course he backed down. Its not everyday that you can say that a Viper owner was scared to run your V6 Firebird..

Owning a LS1 you dont get them kind of stories. everyone already knows what you have. They all know the basic numbers.. Full bolt on will make 350ish rwhp, H/C will make 380-430ish rwhp.. But having a V6 built up with Nitrous then hardly anyone will know what kind of power you make. Hell most of the LS1's I beat down didnt even ask what I had done to my V6.. I just ran them and took there money.. They just assumed I was a stupid v6 owner.

Thats what it means to have a V6 F-body to me.. You all can say what you want about how easy it is to make a LT1-Ls1 fast but how many 11 second V6 cars do you know in your area?? I know of 1 in mine. How many 11 sec LT1-LS1 cars do you know of in your area??

When it comes down to it I am a F-body car guy.. I dont care if it has a 4 banger, v6, or V8 its still a Fbody.. they all have there +'s and -'s..

LS1's are great and I wouldn't mind owning a late WS6. But Pantera has been thinking of getting a C5 insead of another Fbody.

I just got rid of the fiero last night and the Camaro is already on the hotseat.

                    HOWEVER!

having owned 3 3rd gen's, Firebird formula(notsurecannnot rememeber but it did have a V8), TransAm GTA and a Camaro Z28 all L98 cars.

I must say that my V6 is the most fun out of all of them that I have owned so far. Its just something totally different that what everybody else has. I love being the only V6 at a car meeting with a bunch of Fbody's and telling the tails of my car ramping on honda's and such.

What can I say Fbody's are great cars regardless if they are a 6 or 8.

Don't get me wrong I love my V6 and I have nothing against modding the V6, hell I dropped around $3500 on my V6 before selling the S/C and making some of that up, but I've always been into American Muscle, and the V6 just isn't giving it to me. I tried the FI route, sold the S/C, tried to go turbo, but Tiago at FFF made it damn near impossible to get any information or even start a build if I didn't drive from Indiana to Texas for it. Hell I know 3x's as much information about V6 tech than V8 tech but I'm ready to move on. I'm selling the car for $8500 and the WS6 I'm looking to get is $13000. The sound of an LS1 firing up with true dual setup and cam is hypnotizing....I've been bit, and I'm addicted now.

WOW...coming from you a V8 owner is very humbling. How was Stefan's Virus when you drove it? How does it compare to your LS1. I knew he had a couple of bugs on that car but he sold it to Jenn and the issue was never fixed. That car had a lot of potential--too bad though.

I've driven one of the fastest V8's around, which was my uncle's Stingray and I've driven quite a bit of LS1 and LT1. My Dad's AMG Mercedes which has more HP than LS1. It is very special when you are in a V6 F-body, because I'm the only one around with a modded V6. People know I have a V6 because my decals and I get asked alot. Plus I love the way my Firebird looks and that gets a lot of attention alone.

The Virus was a very fun car when it ran.. I think the best numbers it made was 313rwhp.. The Procharger was so loud that it was one of the most intimidating cars around this area at the time. Everyone thought it was a supercharged Firehawk.
