did i say i hate driving my car? no i didnt, but the facts are facts. our cars are poorly put together and cheap. the sad thing is my car has more rattles and creaks than my buddies 92 mustang and his is a 347 and procharged and puts down TWICE the power (593rwhp and 619rwtq) my car does and it doesnt rattle even half as much as mine stock and in damn near show room condition.

i dont get why so many of you guys get so pissy over it, the truth is the truth, and theres a reason the fbody is called the poor mans corvette and its not because of just its price tag.

people who care about rattles should be looking into minvans and station wagons.

my car probably rattles to ****, but i just turn up my beats and don't give it a second thought.

ya, and youre also a kid that paid less than 1/2 what the car cost 15 years ago. so i wouldnt expect you to understand why people stopped buying them new and contributed to the death of the platform.

why? are you not a kid? is your car not 15 yrs old? did you pay anywhere near what it retailed for in 93? if not i dont see the problem. nothing against you, im just proving a point that unless you were part of the people who stopped buying them NEW, then you wouldnt know any better as to what a comsumer is looking for when they buy a new car.

and if my issues with fbodies are so wrong, then why doesnt someone tell me why they were cut then? you know why nobody has? because im right. they looked good, but fitment sucked nuts, the interiors are cheap and general upkeep of them is moderatly expensive compared to the mustang. i wont even get into the fact that stangs can be had newer with less miles for less money STILL compared to some 02 fbodies.

Just to throw my 2 cents in, build quality is ****ty on BOTH sides. Engineering went to GM hands down, while the actual business of selling the car and effectively advertising it went to Ford. But if you're comparing build quality of a Ford as being VASTLY superior to GM, then that HAS to be a joke. Neither one were really good, and the materials used were the culprits in most cases.

yes, but ford knew that they could push the mustang out with so so parts due to the fact that they will sell due to the price difference between the fbody and mustang. if the fbody sold for the same as the mustang it wouldnt have been discontinued in the first place.

You are aware that the only differences in price were among the higher opted cars right, like between the GT and the Z28? The base cars for both the Fbody and Mustang were pretty close, like within a couple thousand, depending on the years. Its not a SIGNIFICANT price difference considering just the base models.

it might not be to you or a few others, but the general population of consumers do. its like the saying "get what you paid for" if i pay a huge chunk of money for a brand new car, i expect small things like rattles to be non existant.
