why? are you not a kid? is your car not 15 yrs old? did you pay anywhere near what it retailed for in 93? if not i dont see the problem. nothing against you, im just proving a point that unless you were part of the people who stopped buying them NEW, then you wouldnt know any better as to what a comsumer is looking for when they buy a new car.

Well I bought mine brand new and it still looks like brand new. As long as you know how to take care of it it will last for as long as you like. Besides, people abuse the hell out of these cars. Now that the C5 is becoming affordable I'm seeing it being beat down just like the fbodies and stangs.

You guys have to think that these cars are base on fan loyalty and making them affordable to the masses. Ford knows how to listen to their fan and they know what they give them. GM didn't do that. It was one disappointment after another.

the difference between a c5 and a fbody was that the c5 was pretty much in its own class of cars with little competition. as you can see now, gm sees other cars coming into the class of the vette and they've begun to work towards making it a even better car with the c6 so that cars like the 370z keep from stealing its sales.

gm has listened to the masses (just too late for the fbody) and thats why the new camaro will sell sucessfully for the price this time around. (as long as build quality stays as it has the past few years for GM cars)

Saw a brand new GT500 with the window sticker on it at the track a couple weeks ago. It was black with silver stripes. The sticker said $54,000 on it. It ran a 12.3. Don't remember the mph though.

did i say i hate driving my car? no i didnt, but the facts are facts. our cars are poorly put together and cheap. the sad thing is my car has more rattles and creaks than my buddies 92 mustang and his is a 347 and procharged and puts down TWICE the power (593rwhp and 619rwtq) my car does and it doesnt rattle even half as much as mine stock and in damn near show room condition.

i dont get why so many of you guys get so pissy over it, the truth is the truth, and theres a reason the fbody is called the poor mans corvette and its not because of just its price tag.

I bet your buddies 92 built up mustang doesnt have the stock suspension on it?? I still have mine and it doesnt rattle and my car has over 80,000 miles on it. I get alot of people everywere I go tell me how nice my car is, how they wished they had it. If it was a Sh1tty car I dont think it would be as popular as it is to people.

dude, youre just spliting hairs. people that say they wish they had it probably never owned on in the first place.

as far as his suspension, all he has is LCA's and subframes and thats just about it. even before he had either of those it still didnt have a single sound.

im done with this conversation, because frankly, your opinion cant beat facts. and the fact at the end of the day is that it was overpriced and didnt offer enough to keep consumers buying them the way the mustang does.

Maybe if you had some pride in your car ( is pride the word I am looking for??) then you would understand were I come from.. How can you say you love your car when you say people only like our cars because they never had to own one.. I dont know about you but I dont get in my T/A and say man this car is sh1tty and I wish that I would have never bought it. I get in my car knowing I have a 400hp car that looks mean as hell and everywere I go I get nice car or man that car is bad a$$. I never got those compliments when I had my mustang. hell even when I drove my roomates supercharged 01 GT. Everyone just said its another supercharged mustang. I dont know about you but I didnt watch Knight Rider or Smokey and the Bandit saying man those cars are sh1tty. I was saying man them cars look mean as hell.

The mustang outsold the f-body because it was a little cheeper and was a good everyday driver. It was easyier for men and women to drive as opposed to the 4th gen F-body and also didnt look as aggressive ( WS6 ) as the GT mustangs. I see more women driving mustangs then I do Men especially the SN95 and newer model mustangs. Foxbody models I see more guys driving but the newer ones I see more women.

Your right That I have my opinion that the f-body was a better car.. Thats because I am a F-body enthusiast and also because we are on a F-body website. Imagine if my 1st post on here was :

Meh. American cars in the 80s and 90s were generally ****ty. I can't compare the mustang to the fbodies but in general to other cars, the aesthetics and build quality of american cars were poor. Mustang and f-body included. That being said, i still <3 my camaro. Somewhat.
