  • buying a GM car

I've been planning on buying a new Cadillac CTS for forever, but now that GM is pretty much in life support, what would happen if i buy the car and then GM files for chapter 11 or something? i really cant see myself buying something other than GM. what do you guys think?

If you buy the car then they go under, you still owe the BANK money and it has nothing to do with GM. Your warranty would still be in existence. I really don't know what else would be the trouble.

it just sucks cause I wanted to own a cadillac because of it being a cadillac, but if they go under, then id own a car made by a bankrupt company.

you think the onstar and gps features will still work?

they wont go bankrupt, the gov't will fund them til the end of time. I mean, if we fund an insurance co. that's not even based in america, we may as well piss money down the drain on american companies lol

going bankrupt wouldnt mean that they would close their doors completely... it just allows them to restructure everything.... there will always be a general motors.... and according to scott settlemire, they wont file for bankruptcy anyways.... hes posted in several threads on camaro5 saying that exact thing...

so go on and get you that bad *** CTS.... lol
