I dont mean to jump in your post and *****, but its illegal for someone to use their carfax to help another out. Stupid I know, but I figured I would say something before this became a ***** fest post.

Just dont post the vin or anything online. If they know what car is going to be checked "illegally", they can cancel the account. So many people use carfax every day, they cant guess which time is being done illegally.

and carfax IS a ripoff.... unfortunately it is a ripoff that is very helpful. I bought a month subscription to it when i was looking for a car, and i know i helped a lot of people out during that time!

im not saying I wouldnt help someone if I had an account, I just remembered last time someone asked for a carfax, you would of thought we had a bunch of 16 yr old kids running around crying and *****ing to one another. If ya'll want to help, then by all means help. I just dont want to see someone crying about it. its getting old.

When I had my 1 month subscription, I helped out all the people that asked me to. Just keep it off of the public forums and you will be fine.

For my money spent, I requested a carfax for every vehicle I could think of. May as well get your moneys worth. I asked every friend and/or family member for their VIN number and I gave them a copy of their report. After all, I did pay for a full month subscription.

they were crying about people doing stuff thats illegal, someone got a carfax and offered it to people on the boards, this is a little different, so Im hoping that those people wont jump on here *****ing about you asking. trust me, If I had it I would offer it

I dont get the subscriptions....is it month or credits? I went on there and it said 10 reports or unlimited. Not 1 month, 2months, etc.

Completely different. He bought it for himself, and then was trying to make money off of everyone else. We basically said that he already had it, why not just help other people out instead of trying to make a buck.

If you check the contract it is a 30 day deal. unlimited checks within 30 days.
