  • Update and proposition

Well, an update on the LS1 Miata. I trashed the idea. I simply dont have the money to complete such a project. The mounts, the frame, the suspension, all have to be custom ordered or made. So, I sold both the engine and shell. Now, with the little extra cash, I might take up and finish one of these. I'm leaning heavily toward the 'lude. Imagine the possibilities. For the price, and what needs to be done, is it worth it?

<<<<<5) 1989 Honda Prelude S. Small Block swap with RWD setup. custom rear subframe 4-link rear end, gm 10 bolt, 76 firebird front subframe, full interior, ultimate sleeper. needs swap finshed (wiring, driveshaft, fuel, radiator). title available.>>>>>

That's not a bad project. Looks like it already has most of everything.

But I would rather go for this one:

<<<<<1) 1964 Datsun 320. I have the body and frame, motor and tranny, and most of the trim. I also have a rolling chassis with a floorboard and firewall from a 87 nissan pickup, if you'ld rather have newer suspension and brakes.>>>>>

When it comes to these types of swaps, this one is by far my favorite. If you click the link in his (Fuzzkill) thread there are 11 pages of infor on his Corolla. Awesome project.

Lots of them look like fun projects if you have the cash and time to invest. I agree with Mighty Thor, the 1964 Datsun would be my first choice. The Prelude would be my next choice. Either way, both would be really cool projects.

x2 on this one. Especially if you can get a hold of an old turbo Z motor to throw in there.
