yeah so i live in south florida and i woke up and opened my garage,,walked two steps and saw a fricking 3 ft long coral snake, usually they rarely get that big,at first i was like, is this the harmless one or the deadly one, so since im a fan of MAN VS WILD i remembered the rhyme, RED ON YELLOW KILL A FELLOW,RED ON BLACK FRIEND OF JACK,so look at the pictures and you will see that this snake was no friend of jack.
Sorry i had to kill it but i cant afford to get stung by it,i wish i could have caught it and carried it to the reptile store.:(
Aww... hate to see when this happens. But safety first. Ironically, I was just looking at a 50/50 California King snake at the petstore today. Pretty little guy.

You did the right thing. I'm extremely snake-friendly, and will play with black snakes, garter snakes, boas, whatever, but when it comes to poisonous snakes in populated areas I don't play.
My brother and I were driving home from hunting one time many years ago, and about two blocks from the house, right in the middle of a residential area of town there was a 3'+ copperhead crossing the road. Much like that coral snake, a 3' copperhead is a big mofo - kinda like rattlers they get really thick in the body when they're that big - and so we stopped and dispatched of it before it could hurt anyone. It was funny actually; we both had our shotguns but didn't want to start blasting in the middle of town, so he took the only thing he could find at the time - a golf umbrella - and whacked the thing over the head, then held the head down while I cut it off. Then he decided he wanted to skin it and tan the hide (or whatever you do with snake skin), so I had to hold the snake out the window all the way back to the house. I'm sure anyone who saw that had to have thought WTF...
You didn't have to kill it. You could have thrown a towel over its head and catch it. Then take to a barren place and release it. Snakes are important in keeping the vermins in check.

florida has alot of snake problems, killing one isnt going to hurt the population, plus its a dangerous snake, i wouldnt try to catch it either. id rather kill it before it kills me or someone else my neighborhood too.
current car- 95 Trans am- bolt ons, parked and collecting dust. why? because **** it

No doubt, i would have hit it with a shovel. im not afraid of snakes but i wouldnt want to have a poisonous one in my neighborhood. lots of kids around here.

yeah i did, im not risking my life for 1 snake, all it takes is 1 bite and ur screwed, plus my mom and dad work outside sometimes and i cant allow to have that sanke running around, and florida does have a snake problem.

I'da taken a shot gun to it....like hell if Im gunna get close enough to whack it...
Cool snake! I like snakes and big-arse spiders.
Old rhyme I've always remembered for coral snakes and their look-a-likes: Red to yellow will kill a fellow. Red to black is safe for jack.
I lived in Ft.Lauderdale for about 17 years when I was young and I've never come across a coral snake. If I did, and survived to tell about it, it would have been my pet.
F*** that. Snakes I'm fine with. But if I came across that exact scenario or any other situation involving that thing... there would be multiple massive bug foggers and a For Sale sign up in the front yard the next day.

Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
