  • Belle tire 15 bucks plug?

I dunno about you guys but paying 15 bucks for fixing a nail in the tire sounds pretty damn good to me. I'm never going to tireman again. They gave me free lugnuts too because apparently I had wheel locks and my brother, who I bought the car from, never gave me the key.

Besides that, the guy that changed my tire loved the car. When he was pulling it out all the other guys wanted him to rev it, I gave him the go ahead nod and these other dudes go, Yeahh! haha it's nice to see that other people think it's a badass car too. It helps with my sense of accomplishment. Whether they knew it was a v6 or not.. A turbo is the best kind of muffler.

Normally if you go to a place that sells the brand tire you have, they fix nails for free...

Yeah, it was the black one.
but what?! I've never been to any place that's even looked at the brand of tire I had before they decided to charge me or not.. They just charge me. I wish I could get my tires plugged for free but even at 15 bucks, i'm not complaining.

I bought my car with Federal tires on it, I went to les schwab because it was nearby, they asked me what brand they were, and they said because they sold them they would fix it for free. Also got a nail removed my my bridgestone tires from firestone at no charge. maybe it's not as normal as i thought, just my experience.

I had tireman plug my tire for $18 just last week. If you think about what they are actually doing though, that is kind of a rip off. Especially considering i had the tire off of the car, it should have been something they could have done for $5. But all well, beats the hell out of buying a new tire(s).

I just plug my tires myself. you can get a kit to do it at most gas stations for around 3 to 5 bucks

I always have a plug kit in my car, just in case. It is really simple to do and the kit costs about $5 for the good one.

so do you need to take the tire off the rim to plug it with these kits?

Nope... just rough the hole up and pop in the plug... glue and tools included.

Yeah it's pretty simple, I went through the tireman basic training classes a long time ago and it's not something you'll forget with as easy as it is. The only problem I have is mounting or unmounting the tires from the rims. I suppose I could get a couple of pry bars and start to do it myself.

Wait wait.. I must have misread that at first. You guys trust those plugs that you install without taking the tire off the rim?

I charge $15 for a plug on a car, if the tire is loose and brought in to the shop then it is $5 for plugging it. Difference in price comes from having to drive in and use a hoist, air tools and such and then remounting it again. I have mechanics, tools and such to pay for, so plugs are not free here

I take mine to dicount for the fixing flats, but I had 2 holes too close together and had to replace the tire, they said they couldn't put plugs in that close , which sucked. But other than that they are great with tire flats and rotating my tires.
